If you play around with this class, you immediately see its strengths. But be aware that of its nature (oop), memory usage can increased, if your yousing large scale trees. Sometimes you have to reduce the object tree for better memory usage. The performance is no problem. It is simply fast.
I usually use it for pieces of the presentation layers, where I have to deal with complex surface structures which have to be enhanceable.
